I am an early to mid-career epidemiologist with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. I specifically work in the HIV surveillance unit of the AIDS Activities Coordinating Office, on the Data to Care project. I started as a data manager helping to facilitate data exchanges between medical facilities and the health department to determine the out-of-care status for their HIV+ patients and to enroll eligible patients in field services outreach to help them re-engage in care. As epidemiologist, in addition to leading data management efforts, I analyze the project outcomes and conduct regular program evaluation to improve both the programmatic efforts and data processes of the project. In addition to HIV, I have a passion for other areas of public health that are deeply impacted by health equity issues. These include chronic disease, maternal and child health, as well as the health consequences of violence and trauma. Overall, I am committed to finding data-driven solutions to public health issues facing our most underserved and historically neglected communities. I am a 12-year Philadelphia resident, having received my BA from the University of Pennsylvania and my MPH from Drexel University.
