Ms. Candance Willett is the Health Outreach Manager for the Staff Resiliency Program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. She is also a retired Navy veteran and is dedicated to serving the military and veteran populations. She has experience in health education and promotion, community outreach, quantitative and analytical reporting, training, and project management. Before joining the Staff Resiliency team, Candance served within the DC Mayor Administration as a Health Advisor to gun violence prevention and intervention. For the past three years, she has served as an AARP Veteran Ambassador for the DC State Office. As a veteran, Candance loves advocating in the veteran community regarding social determinants of health, access to health, and promoting health equality. Candance is originally from Memphis, TN, and currently resides in the Washington DC area. She is also a Certified Health Coach and Certified Health Education Specialist. She received a Bachelor’s in Business from the University of Tennessee, Master of Science, Health Administration from the Troy University, a Master of Public Administration, Health Policy from the University of Baltimore, Master of Philosophy in Health Psychology from Walden University, and currently a Ph.D.
